With its versatile Grand Auditorium body shape, the TAYLOR Custom Shop GA-E Grand Auditorium #1211163099 acoustic/electric guitar is all set to perform in a wide range of musical applications.
This beautiful instrument is made from premium solid tonewoods that our team selected at Taylor's factory. Spicey Cedar for top, Tasmanian Myrtle for back and sides, Maple neck, Ebony fretboard.
With tone-enhancing V-Class bracing and ES-2 electronics, it pumps out serious volume with blooming sustain.

Cedar is a less dense tonewood than Spruce. That softness translates into a sense of sonic warmth. Cedar makes quieter tones louder, and also imposes more of a ceiling on high volume levels driven by an aggressive attack. If one tries to drive a cedar top hard, at a certain point it will reach a volume limit.
Players with a lighter touch sound wonderful on a Cedar topped guitar, fingerstyle players especially — that lighter touch will be amplified a little more, and one's attack never reaches the ceiling. Flatpickers are likely to hit the ceiling fast, and might be frustrated by an inability to get the tonal output to match their attack.

Tasmanian Myrtle can be considered as the best hybrid between Mahogany and Rosewood on this planet.
