The RME Babyface FS is designed from a precision machined aluminum block. This high-end nomadic interface proposed a brand new design of analog and digital circuits. Its innovative energy-saving technology allows incredible fidelity
without compromising distortion, background noise or output levels.

Technische Specificities

+19 / +4 dBu switch on the bottom adds a direct way to reduce the output level, thus improves SNR for sensitive active monitors, avoids distortion / overload, and helps to keep TotalMix FX faders near 0 dB instead of high attenuations.
Full SteadyClock FS circuit as in the ADI-2 Pro FS for lowest jitter and highest jitter immunity.
3.5 mm TRS phones output power rises from 70 mW to 90 mW. THD of both phones outputs improved by up to 10 dB. Uses same output op-amps as ADI-2 Pro now. Output impedance of 3.5 mm TRS lowered from 2 Ohms to 0.1 Ohms.
Mic inputs SNR improved from 112.2 dB to 113.7 dB, TRS Line inputs SNR improved from 114 dB to 116.3 dB (120 dBA). THD Line inputs improved by 8 dB.
6 samples less latency on the AD side by new ADC (5 samples AD, 7 samples DA. It won't get quicker...).
All the above improvements were achieved without raising the units power consumption.

Excellente carte son tant pour assurer des prises de grande qualité (préamp RME excellent) que dans le traitement sur le DAW. Format super pratique avec la boite de transport qui va super bien. Qualité de monitoring impeccable tant sur les enceintes que sur un casque. Pour le moment, je ne lui trouve pas de défaut même si la prise en main nécessite un peu de temps mais le logiciel RME TOTAL MIX est vraiment super bien pensé avec un grand coup de coeur pour la gestion séparée de tous les retours avec des mix différents pour chacun d'eux ! Un vrai petit studio embarqué ! Et bravo pour la qualité de l'objet super solide et soigné au niveau des connectiques ! Je suis super content de ce choix.

Un conseillé du magasin Star's Music m'a motivé pour l'acquisition de cette carte son RME. Marque que je connaissais déjà, car utilisateur pendant 15 ans de la Fireface 400. Je suis très satisfait de la qualité du son, de la connectique très simple. La prise en main se fait en 10mn. Les effets DSP sont de grande qualité
