Elysia Mpressor

The Mpressor is a new tool for creative use of dynamics. In addition to the usual functions normally used, this creative, temperamental compressor includes a full set of special functions to achieve textures and sounds that are as stunning as they are effective. In addition to the classic recording applications, it is particularly adept at envelope manipulation and groove creation.

Each of the two linkable channels features a switchable Auto Fast function for ultra-fast compression without distortion. The Anti Log circuitry explicitly generates the pumping and breathing effects associated with compression. The mpressor is a feed forward type, allowing for negative ratios, responsible for the most extreme over-compression effects.

The Tilt EQs offer the possibility of modifying the timbre of the signal, in a subtle or pronounced way, over the entire audio spectrum. The Gain Reduction Limiter is an innovation that allows the user to select the amount of gain reduction they do not want to exceed with a single control. The switchable external sidechain input allows for even more flexibility in compressor behaviour. The circuit design of the mpressor is based entirely on single-component analogue technology ("Discrete"). The audio processing is done with single transistors operating in class-A, the sidechain and the power supply are also made of completely discrete circuits.

An oversized power supply transformer, conductive plastic potentiometers in capsules, temperature stabilizers for the most critical elements, as well as current-feedback amplifiers... these are the technological details. The combination of these elements aims to achieve the highest signal quality while guaranteeing clean and powerful sound at the most extreme settings.
