Depending on the body style and wood it's paired with, it can match well with sophisticated chords and fingerstyle arrangements, strummers with a firm attack, and any player looking for a responsive tone with nice complexity.

Sapele is a perfectly suitable Mahogany substitute. Sounds much like its cousin but due to the hardness, a little brighter.
