Beschrijving
The C414 XLII is a large-diaphragm studio microphone.
The C 414 XLII has been developed as an acoustic alternative to the standard C 414 XLS and produces a sound very similar to that of the well-known AKG C 12. It is identical to the C 414 XLS except that it slightly accentuates the high frequencies from 3 kHz onwards by means of a completely different acoustic resistance. This high-frequency emphasis, which brings out the grain of the human voice, makes the C 414 XLII particularly suitable for recording soloists, whether singers or instrumentalists (see also chapters 4.5 and 4.6). In addition, it is ideally suited for recording from a great distance, such as from the ceiling of a concert hall.
