The Auteur Mk3 is a preamp offered by the Black Lion Audio brand.

The Auteur Mk3 design begins with a modern input circuit described as fast and transparent, perfect for capturing every nuance and detail. This is followed by a vintage-inspired output stage coupled with a Cinemag transformer for massive, colorful sound. This approach to design results in a hyper-versatile preamplifier that sounds amazing on anything you can throw at it.

Both channels feature line-level inputs to add warmth and density to keyboards, synthesizers, and even full stereo mixes. The Hi-Z switch provides exceptional instrumental input for direct guitar and bass capture.

The Author Mk3 features a sturdy chassis that is extremely portable. Not only is it ideal for traveling, but it adapts perfectly to a desk when space is limited. Removable rack ears are also included so it can be mounted in a half-rack space.
