The Thorens TD 102 A Walnut is a fully automatic turntable with a walnut finish.

Combining typical THORENS design, high sound quality and long life, the brand new TD 102 A fully automatic turntable ticks all the boxes to satisfy vinyl fans, as well as fans of the world-renowned German brand. Its careful design and modern mechanism guarantee quality and durability. Also comes with the AT VM95E cartridge for a totally plug and play experience.

With this new product, THORENS has perfectly combined the timeless aesthetics of the original vinyl turntables with the automation of modern turntables. The turntable has a wooden frame and a lacquered finish and is available in "gloss black" and "gloss walnut". But it's also all the practical details that can be highlighted: shock-absorbing feet, a fully automatic system and an integrated switchable phono pre-amp for easy and complete connection to all modern audio systems. In addition to all these features, the TD 102 A offers a perfect and intact sound quality, without vibrations, thanks to the absorption of a rubber plate cover and its indirect belt drive.
The strength of an Audio Technica AT VM95E
This turntable is equipped with a TP 72 tone arm and a pre-mounted Audio-Technica AT VM95E cartridge. The newly developed carbon tone arm combines lightness and strength, and also helps to limit vibrations. The AT VM95E phono cell is an asset of the turntable, thanks to its technicality and its performances: equipped with a double magnet MM type generator (the coils adopt a para-toroidal shape and are made of high purity OFC copper (99.99997%)) and with a VM technology (based on the use of two magnets placed in a V shape (Audio-Technica Vector Aligned technology), the magnetic performances of the cell are assured. Finally, the cell offers a reduction in sound distortion thanks to an isolation plate located between the coils, and also guarantees linear sound reproduction from 20 Hz to 22 kHz.
