SPACEMAN EFFECTS Sputnik I Silicon Fuzz (Black) features the original 2013 Sputnik circuit in a compact enclosure - but with a twist : Sputnik I features silicon transistors - delivering all the texture, warmth, and mojo of the original while adding the benefits of rock-solid stability and consistency. Not to mention the additional gain on tap, allowing the Sputnik I to take you to new fuzz horizons.
Also included is the updated Scan control from the Sputnik IIb, expanding your tonal shaping options while preserving the untamed spirit of Drift Mode (wild oscillation, octave and 8-bit artifact tones).
Fully soldered and wired by hand in Portland, Oregon, Sputnik I delivers remarkable tonal versatility. The Range control spans everything from light overdrive to thick, sustained fuzz, while the unique Calibrate control shapes your tone in dynamic interaction with it — unlocking an even broader spectrum of sounds. And that’s only scratching the surface of what the Sputnik I can do.
