Actieve studiomonitor
The KH 150 is a powerful bi-amplified studio monitor with benchmark performance. Its 6.5" woofer in a Bass Reflex cabinet delivers exceptional bass and high SPL without any compromise in clarity. DSP-controlled electronics ensure linear phase response and allow automatic calibration with Neumann's revolutionary MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment.
Faithful reproduction
The KH 150 inherits the philosophy of all Neumann studio monitors: high linearity, minimal distortion, no coloration and perfect adaptation to any acoustic environment. It allows you to hear every nuance of your tracks. No more guesswork! Mixing becomes much faster and easier. And much more creative too: it sounds great, but I can't believe it! Is that voice clear enough or is it sibilant? Is there too much bass? Only the KH 150 will tell you. In all honesty.
A larger model
The KH 150 differs from its smaller companions in that it has a deeper bass response, down to 39 Hz. That's almost as low as the less compact KH 310, thanks to the KH 150's all-new 6.5" high-precision woofer integrated into a carefully designed Bass Reflex cabinet. This makes the KH 150 ideal for urban music, electronic music, film music and all styles that require extended bass and/or high listening levels. Powerful amplifiers (145 W/100 W) and sophisticated protection devices prevent any loss in clarity even at high SPL levels. But as a truly universal product, the KH 150 also works equally well for all other musical genres, from rock and classical music to broadcast and voice-over applications.
The KH 150 offers an exceptionally linear frequency response from 39 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB). Not to mention that it also linearizes the phase response! The result is a clear midrange that is surprisingly transparent, as well as extreme precision in terms of temporal propagation: faithful reproduction of impulses and finely controlled reverberations. This is achieved through DSP-controlled electronics, which allow crossover filters to avoid the phase distortions usually caused by analogue filters. The internal DSP also achieves new levels of tonal consistency. The KH 150 is designed to offer an extremely low tolerance level of ±0.8 dB maximum! And you can hear it too: the stereo image is crystal clear.
Perfectly suited to your room
Even the best speakers are limited in terms of audio quality by the acoustic environment in which they are located. Neumann's Mathematically Modelled Dispersion (MMD) waveguide ensures a relatively large ideal listening area and reduces reflections from surfaces. But the KH 150 goes much further: its internal DSP supports room calibration using Neumann's revolutionary MA 1. The MA 1 (sold separately) ensures that your DSP monitors are optimally matched to the characteristics of your room and are perfectly calibrated for your listening position. Even in acoustically treated rooms, this results in a considerable improvement.
