Black lion audio BLUEY

The Bluey is a compressor / limiter offered by the Black Lion Audio brand.

The Black Lion Bluey is a modified "Blue Stripe" compressor, based on the "golden" unit owned by Chris Lord-Alge. When certain components became unavailable, technicians had to change the circuit, creating a one-of-a-kind compressor that has been used in countless hits. To faithfully reproduce the details that Chris Lord-Alge loved in the original Bluey, custom CineMag transformers were used, but they also recreated his console's insertion path and integrated it directly into the Bluey, giving everyone the same console feeling!

But that's not all: they've also added an active wet/dry mix for easy parallel compression, as well as a stereo link! The Bluey was designed with a vintage-inspired PCB layout, 1% resistors, polyester capacitors and a linear power supply, ensuring a long lifespan. And like all Black Lion products, the Bluey is hand assembled and tested in the United States.
