Black lion audio BLUEY

The Bluey is a compressor / limiter offered by the Black Lion Audio brand.

The Black Lion Bluey is the faithful reproduction of the famous “Blue Stripe” compressor modified by Chris Lord-Alge.
Unable to use the same components during a repair, the technicians had to change the circuit, thus creating a unique compressor of its kind used since then on the vocals of countless hits. To reproduce Chris Lord-Alge's special Bluey down to the smallest detail, Black Lion went so far as to have custom CineMag transformers manufactured, and also recreated the insertion path of its console to integrate it directly into the Bluey , so that everyone can experience this very special sound!

But that's not all: they've also added an active wet/dry mix for easy parallel compression, as well as a stereo link! The Bluey was designed with a vintage-inspired PCB layout, 1% resistors, polyester capacitors and a linear power supply, ensuring a long lifespan. And like all Black Lion products, the Bluey is hand assembled and tested in the United States.
