Key Features of the Gauss 7

Unique Vintage Woofer Design with Modern Bandwidth

The Gauss 7's woofer draws heavy inspiration from the AV10-MLF "White Cone" woofer while being a completely new design. The woofer cone, pressed from an exclusive blend of wood pulp and fiberglass, is similar to that used in the CLA-10 series (AV10-MLF) but with more material for even deeper bass frequencies. The Gauss 7 offers a wide bandwidth for fantastic midrange and excellent low-end reproduction. The woofer's motor, constructed from low-carbon 1008 steel, ensures the highest magnetic flux density between the pole piece and top plate. The Japanese unidirectional styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) surround optimizes woofer power and excursion. A rear-facing bass port gives the Gauss 7 controlled yet impactful bass - tight response without the typical bass excess found in other speakers in its price range.

The GAU-AMT: High-Fidelity Tweeter

At the heart of the Gauss 7 is the custom-designed and patented GAU-AMT tweeter. The GAU-AMT provides exceptional precision even for the subtlest waveforms. It delivers an incredible stereo image while minimizing vertical scope, thereby reducing unwanted acoustic reflections in the room and helping to avoid potential phase issues. The 65mm folded PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film membrane of the GAU-AMT contributes to its impressive transient response. The choice of PET film is guided by its low resonance frequency and crossover point, offering exceptional high-frequency extension. The GAU-AMT's aluminum-wound, folded coil is housed in a dedicated enclosure to prevent interference with the woofer's rear wave. Extended frequency response up to 22 kHz makes the Gauss 7 an exceptional reference monitor for a wide range of music and audio sources. Air becomes not just audible but pleasantly smooth. It's not just an outstanding reference monitor but also designed for extended listening sessions.
